Presented by the Saddleback Committee, Philharmonic Society of Orange County
Tickets are now on sale for “Symphony of Art, Opus2” to be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Harbor View Phase 1 Clubhouse, 1854 Port Westbourne, Newport Beach, CA. Local artists have reimagined once loved instruments into pieces of art—with an open house to view and bid on these unique music-inspired pieces. Proceeds from this event benefit the Philharmonic Society’s Youth Music Education Programs. In addition, this event will feature complimentary wine and cheese, as well as the chance to win exciting opportunity prizes.
Twenty-five artists have been busy at work, turning nonrepairable musical instruments into collectible works of art. Most of the artists are local, but one hails from Fresno and another from Oceanside. All the artists have donated their time and creative skills to support our music education programs. Of the twenty-five professional and non-professional artists, two are members of The Committees, one is a granddaughter of a committee member, some are students, and some are artists with disabilities. Many are returning from the original “Symphony of Art” held in 2021. Several of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. Bidders will get to know the artist and hear about the inspiration for their work.
In addition to the silent auction of the artworks, there will be five opportunity baskets featuring wine, local restaurant gift cards, and Philharmonic concert tickets. Join us from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, March 3rd to celebrate this mix of music and art. You may go home with collectible artwork, while contributing to music education programs, sponsored by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.
Ticket prices for this event are $30 per ticket or two for $50 and must be purchased by February 26, or whenever the event is sold out. Tickets will be held at the door.
