The Orange County Women’s Chorus will perform their final concert of 2023-2024, Wings, on June 1 and 2 at St. Wilfrid of York Episcopal Church in Huntington Beach. 


Join the Orange County Women’s Chorus for a soaring musical journey celebrating the theme of taking flight in their season finale concert! Experience the exhilarating music that will accompany the group during their upcoming tour to Croatia this summer, providing a glimpse of the captivating melodies they will perform abroad. The choir’s voices will bring to life stories of travel, adventure, and creatures of the sky. This concert appeals to all ages and tastes! 


“We've tackled some tough topics this season, but our final concert is one that's all about joy, flight, and freedom.” says OCWC’s Artistic Director, Eliza Rubenstein. “This is a far-ranging collection of works about birds, bees, angels, witches (they fly too!), and women spreading their wings and taking to the sky. Bring the whole family for this one and we promise they'll enjoy it!”


The performances will take place at St. Wilfrid of York Episcopal Church, 18631 Chapel Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 on Saturday, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available at https://ocwomenschorus.ticketspice.com/wings?t=PR.


Tickets online in advance*: Adults, $30; Seniors (65+), $25; Students (with ID), $15.

We don't have the resources to write in-depth stories about everything.  Our editors want to share a few more events each week that we think you should know about.  These picks are chosen by them without input from the organizations listed. 

The program includes "White Christmas," "March of the Toys," "Sleigh Ride," "Bugler's Holiday," "Clarinet Candy" and many other classics. There'll be a singalong as well. 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Tustin.

Pacific Symphony presents a program that features two-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Mak Grgić. He'll perform Rodrigo’s masterful "Fantasy for a Gentleman," a work filled with lively, dancing melodies and vibrant music. The program also includes Dvorak's Symphony No. 8 and Vivian Fung's "Prayer." 8 p.m. Dec. 5 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

This dynamic group exhibition is a showcase of women artists on the rise. Curated by gallery artist Mary Finlayson, it incorporates nature, organic shapes, bold textures, and deconstructed patterns to develop cohesive narratives across mediums. Opening artists' reception 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at at JoAnne ARTMAN Gallery in Laguna Beach.
