Empowering Women in Orange County

The following is a press release from an organization unaffiliated with Culture OC. The information provided has been written by the submitting organization and not by the writers at Culture OC. We include this on our site in the spirit of sharing information about the arts and culture community in Orange County.

OC Women2Women, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to uplifting and empowering thousands of women in Orange County, is thrilled to announce an upcoming fundraising event to raise funds for the Mariposa Centers in Orange County.

This event will feature a Keynote by Award-Winning Designer, Karen Butera King. Karen is a community leader and founder of OC Women2Women who has significantly impacted tens of thousands of women's lives through her dedication and support. Our esteemed event speaker is also the founder of Karen Butera Inc., an internationally acclaimed interior design firm.

As an internationally renowned interior designer with over three decades of experience, Karen Butera King will present a showcase of distinctive design ideas. Her presentation will be sharing five timeless design elements to enhance your lifestyle that will benefit a wide audience, from individuals looking for tips to enhance their home and office spaces, to interior design students, and even seasoned professionals seeking valuable insights from this legendary designer.

The event will be held in the company of other amazing individuals, covering an international audience of primarily Orange County and Los Angeles based women, in the lovely setting of the Santa Ana Country Club with a beautiful golf course view. Lunch will be included as well as the wonderful musical stylings of Le Grand Barr: A classically trained musician and composer who has recorded every genre of music from jazz to pop. Le Grand always creates a most enjoyable style and atmosphere.

The proceeds will help Mariposa purchase a cargo van to transport homeless individuals to shelters and treatment facilities. For over 46 years, Mariposa has been a beacon of hope, serving Orange County’s women, men, and families with innovative counseling programs and therapies. From individual substance abuse and domestic violence counseling to group sessions with fellow survivors, Mariposa supports healing journeys for those experiencing some of the most challenging circumstances.

Karen Butera King is often quoted, as she speaks from the heart, “When you change the life of a women, you change generations to come.”

We invite you to help us create lasting change in our community. Your support helps us continue our mission of empowering women and fostering that positive change. We look forward to your participation in this meaningful and inspiring event.
