EDITORS' PICKS

We don't have the resources to write in-depth stories about everything.  Our editors want to share a few more events each week that we think you should know about.  These picks are chosen by them without input from the organizations listed.

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with free food, traditional lion and dragon dances and other traditional performers. This festival includes the launch of a special student art exhibition by Anaheim High School District. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. January 5 at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana.

A must-see for all model train enthusiasts, featuring layouts in HO, O, and G gauge. Operate an electric telegraph and meet some of the giants from the Golden Age of railroads. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. January 11 at MUZEO in Anaheim.

The idea behind Keillor’s 90-minute, one-man show is that no matter what path you choose, the love of language is at the heart of a sound education and a crucial part of a good life. 8 p.m. January 11 at Irvine Barclay Theatre.
